Nothing quite like being stuck in a truss spot for two hours. While needing to go pee after an hour
It's weird. What a safety line can do in your subconsious. When im working at Philips Arena in the grid. Their is a safety line over every beam. At the Arena at Gwinnett their is a safety line on every beam going east/west but only on every fith beam going north/south. When im walking on a beam with a safety line over head. I walk normaly with a purpose. I rarely think about my safety. However when im at the Arena at Gwinnett and i need to cross a beam that has no safety line. Its an all together different matter. Its a matter of prefrence how you cross. Most riggers myself includded will step down with a foot on each side of the bottom of the I-beam. With our hands along the top and shimmy across. Never thought twice about it till i saw one of the fellow riggers just walk across it. Just like one would walk down any other beam with a safety.
It got me to thinking about comfort levels. The thought of walking across a beam without a safety the way i walk across one with a safety. Gives me a little fright.
That might change with time and more experience
